Die TE Connectivity IP68 wasserfesten Micro USB 2.0 Steckverbinder bieten für die heutigen kleineren und dünneren Mobilgeräte einen besseren Schutz gegen Schäden, die durch ein Eintauchen ins Wasser und durch Feststoffe wie z. B. Staub verursacht werden. Bei den wasserfesten Micro USB Steckverbindern von TE wird ein metallgegossenes Gehäuse verwendet, um den IP68-Standard zu erreichen. Das metallgegossene Gehäuse aus Edelstahl ersetzt das herkömmliche, gestanzte und geformte Gehäuse, um den bestmöglichen Schutz gegen Zerrungen und falsches Einsetzen zu erreichen und die Gehäusehöhe um 0,3mm zu reduzieren.
