Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) MP171A Offline Regulators

Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) MP171A Offline Regulators are primary-side regulators that provide accurate constant voltage (CV) regulation without an optocoupler. These regulators lower the peak current and switching frequency as the load decreases, providing excellent efficiency at light loads and improving overall efficiency. Other features include thermal shutdown, VCC undervoltage lockout, overload protection, short-circuit protection, and open-loop detection. MPS MP171A Offline Regulators integrate a 700V MOSFET that optimizes the device for offline low-power applications such as home appliances and standby power. The regulators support buck, boost, buck-boost, and flyback topologies. The MP171A series is available in TSOT23-5 and SOIC-8 packages.
