Microchip Technology MCP1804 CMOS Low Dropout (LDO) Voltage Regulators

Microchip Technology MCP1804 CMOS Low Dropout (LDO) Voltage Regulators can deliver up to 150mA of current while consuming only 50µA of quiescent current (typical, 1.8V = VOUT = 5.0V). The input operating range of the MCP1804 LDOs is specified from 2.0V to 28.0V. These devices are capable of delivering 100mA with only 1300mV (typical) of input to output voltage differential (VOUT = 3.3V). The output voltage tolerance of the MCP1804 at +25°C is a maximum of ±2%. Line regulation is ±0.15% typical at +25°C.

The MCP1804 LDOs provide a stable input and output with 0.1µF of input and output capacitance. Ceramic, tantalum, or aluminum electrolytic capacitors can all be used for input and output. Overcurrent limit with current foldback to 40mA (typical) provides short-circuit protection. A shutdown (SHDN) function allows the output to be enabled or disabled. When disabled, the MCP1804 LDOs draw only 0.01µA of current (typical).

The Microchip Technology MCP1804 LDO Regulators are offered in 3-lead SOT-89, 3-lead SOT-223, 5-lead SOT-23, and 5-lead SOT-89 packages, with a -40°C to +85°C operating temperature range.
