IDEC HE1G Three-position Grip Switches
IDEC HE1G Three-position Grip Switches are designed for use as deadman switches by second operators in robotic cells. These grip switches are available with or without a built-in Emergency Stop switch. The ergonomically-designed Off-On-Off three-position functionality provides a high level of safety. This is designed based on human behavioral studies, which determine personnel may squeeze or let go when confronted with a panic situation. The switch does not turn ON when being released from position 3 (OFF when pressed) to position 1 (OFF when released). The HE1G grip switches come with removable strain relief, E-Stop built-in (optional), and IP66 degree of protection (watertight). The HE1G-L grip switches, when compared to HE1G versions, offer lighter operating force to the On position. The distinctive tactile feedback makes it easy to know the current position of the switch. The lighter operating force on position 2 assures a more comfortable, stress-free operation for long hours.

- Positive action contacts On (position 2) to Off (position 3) ensure no contact welding (per EN 60947-5-1 / IEC60947-5-1)
- Contacts will not close when released from Off (position 3) to Off (position 1) (per IEC60204-1; 9.2.5.8)
- Two contacts are provided so that even if one contact fails due to welding or short-circuit, the other contact can disable machine operation
- Removable strain relief included

- 2 OFF-ON-OFF contacts plus either a monitoring or E-Stop contact
