Hirose Electric DF61 / DF61Y Swing-Lock Lighting Connectors

Hirose Electric DF61 / DF61Y Swing-Lock Lighting Connectors feature a 350V maximum rating and utilize Hirose's unique Swing-Lock mating style for use in high power applications. Hirose's reinforced swing-lock structure prevents the plug from becoming disengaged when handling strains or loads. These connectors also feature a header molded in one piece for a tight fit that resists solder wicking, a header lock to improve plug retention, and contacts constructed using a highly conductive material that allows high current flow by reducing the contact resistance.

The DF61Y series utilizes a ViSe (Vertical Insertion, Swing Extraction) proprietary lock design. Both compact DF61 and DF61Y 2.2mm pitch connectors offer a 350V maximum rating due to a long creepage distance. The DF61 series has a 5A maximum current rating with 22 AWF, while the DF61Y series is rated at 4A with 24 AWG. These features make the low profile Hirose DF61 and DF61Y series suitable for many common applications, such as digital cameras, LED lighting, tablet computers, portable medical devices, and industrial robots.
