STMicroelectronics ST4E1651 Half-Duplex RS485 Transceiver
STMicroelectronics ST4E1651 Half-Duplex RS485 Transceiver is a low-power, differential line transceiver designed for reliable data communication in industrial networks. The transceiver operates from a 3V to 3.6V supply, supports data rates up to 50Mbps, and allows more than 64 transceivers on a single bus, making the device ideal for multi-point applications over extended cable runs.
The device integrates fail-safe receiver functionality, hot-swap capability, thermal shutdown protection, and robust ESD protection up to ±16kV IEC 61000-4-2 contact discharge. These features help ensure stable communication in factory automation, robotics, motion control, building automation, grid infrastructure, and video surveillance systems. The STMicroelectronics ST4E1651 operates across a -40°C to +125°C temperature range and is available in a compact SO8 package.
